Alexandre was born in Aix-en-Provence, France, in 1989. He began his career as an apprentice at Michelin-starred Restaurant Pierre Reboul, Aix-en-Provence (2009-11), and has since gained experience in many prestigious establishments, whilst training to qualify as an Advanced Court Master Sommelier.
In 2011, Alexandre moved to Lyon as Sommelier at Restaurant Eskis (2011-13), before joining Michelin-starred Les Loges, also in Lyon, as Head Sommelier (2013-14). Then, in 2014, he moved to the UK as Sommelier at Michelin two-starred L’Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria, where he was quickly promoted to Assistant Head Sommelier (2014-15).
Alexandre then transferred back to France in 2015 as Head Sommelier at Hôtel Casadelmar, Porto-Vecchio, which also holds two Michelin stars, before moving to Michelin two-starred Restaurant Jean Sulpice in Val Thorens as Assistant Sommelier (2015-16).
Alexandre accepted the role of Head Sommelier at Moor Hall in Lancashire in May 2016, he was placed 2nd in the finals of the UK Young Sommelier of the Year 2018, and won the Taittinger Sommelier of the Year 2018 in July 2018, having been a semi-finalist in 2017.
In December 2019 Alexandre moved to Chez Bruce where he is their Head Sommelier.
